It is an essential instrument of the University to develop, together with teaching and scientific research, its third mission: the transfer of knowledge. It disseminates and exploits research results in society, contributing to regional development based on knowledge. It is, in short, a structured set of resources that operate as a link between science and the productive environment and where companies are nourished with ideas.

The PCUV has a scientific area made up of six research institutes, two singular centers and an important infrastructure of services and equipment for research; and a business area that currently houses more than eighty young or already consolidated companies, mainly in the Biotechnology and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sectors.

Despite its youth, the PCUV currently incorporates more than eighty companies generating 500 direct jobs, mainly in the ICT and Biotechnology sectors, which work in an environment of synergies with the academic environment and which, more and more frequently, converge in the generation of new initiatives for the enrichment of the productive system.
